Living room edit

Here is an edit of some of my favourite bits from our living room, lots of which we had in our previous house and a few key new bits which we fell in love with. I did the Create Academy course with Rita Koning and one of the many useful tips she shared was that – unless you are significantly downsizing of course – you should take all of your furniture with you to your new house. It is better to have a table for your drink, even if it isn’t perfect, rather than to have no table at all. The Ikea bedside table below had been sitting in our loft for years and we bought it to the new house on the off chance there might be a home for it and, there it now sits next to the armchair. We might get a new one at some point but for now it is great to have somewhere to put that glass of wine.
