Cultural shop edit – part 1

I don't know about you but I absolutely love a museum/gallery shop. The buying is so well considered and you can often find a real hidden gem. Over the years I have turned to these shops a lot for interesting art to hang at home or for general inspiration for interiors. In the best ones [...]

Crockery for every budget

Crockery for every budget

I absolutely love crockery - I might even go as far as saying I am a little bit obsessed. I have always dreamt of owning a hand thrown set but my budget over the years just hasn't allowed for it. I even went on a pottery course to see if I could learn to do [...]

Best shoppers under £25

Best shoppers under £25

I seem to endlessly need and use various shoppers - whether it is to fill it with grocery shopping, baby bits, presents or for my work snacks (yes, I snack a lot). I thought it might be useful to share some of the best french inspired shoppers I have found at the moment, inspired by [...]

A cheeky before and after shot of the downstairs loo. Always nice to play around with the small spaces in your home and I like having a very dark room off the hall which is very light and airy ✨ Cream jumper dress - the perfect outfit for a kids party🫠 Hoops very kindly gifted by @mejuri #mejuripartner Who wore the mimosa best 🤔 Full disclosure I haven't used the new shower much. I got rid of the heated towel rail and went for underfloor heating that went up the wall a little on one side so it would dry the towels that were on hooks. But we have to wait 6 weeks for the tiles to bed in before we can turn it on 😭. We haven't wanted to use it without the heating because a) It is cold and b) we were worried that without it the tiny room might not dry out quickly enough after each use. The couple of showers we have had however have been a delight - a far cry from the broken, loud, yellow shower we had previously. This one even has an app that tells you how much water you have used and how long you are showering for. The shower was a gift from @aqualisashowers and the tiles by @mandarinstoneofficial were purchased with a pr discount. January almost done...ready for spring now please 🙏🏼 Practising what I preach this morning with a bit of a refresh in the living room. My husband made a shelf for the record player and vinyl and the new addition called for a good faff of the room. All of the best faffing starts with a thorough declutter. It feels lighter and brighter, which is definitely what is needed right now ✨ A cheeky before and after. The walls are threadneedle by @mylands_london, the chest of drawers was found on Facebook marketplace for £25 five years ago and then the bed was custom made by a brilliant local carpenter based on my designs #thriftedabode #beforeandafter #interiordesigner #kidsbedroom And there we are. The room of doom is finally gone. Some thank you's for those that helped make it a reality including @jtrenovations__ for your endless patience with the hard part of actually installing it all and for becoming part of the family (the kids are genuinely sad to not have you around anymore), @mandarinstoneofficial for making the most spectacular tiles and for giving me a pr discount on them, @aqualisashowers for gifting the niftiest, and most attractive digital shower on the market and to @themargategalley for inspiring me to leave the raw plaster on the ceiling and to just seal it ✨ Like a lot of people I have been desperately trying to find ways to cut down my heating bill whilst still making sure that my two little ones were kept warm. After a bit of research I decided to try some smart thermostats which enables you to control the temperature by room and all through an app. Genius. I was already going to purchase myself but these were very kindly gifted in the end by @tado_com. More info on how easy they are to instal and use on my stories ✨💞🙏🏼
