With just the right amount of grey it has a soothing effect and can work perfectly in just about every room. There is some disagreement about what the exact colour 'millennial pink' actually refers to, but I don't think [...]

Welcome to Thrifted Abode

Like lots of people I have long been saving for a house, car and most recently a baby, meaning I often have very little fun money to play with - tricky given my interiors obsession. This dichotomy between sensible living and the love of beautiful things has given me a passion for recreating high end looks and trends at a fraction of the cost.

A little sneak peak at the mood board for the lounge.
Today's discovery is this little room at the back of the garage with original floor tiles 💞
The only thing in the house that isn't covered in boxes or dust 😳. The lounge paper has been stripped and predictably the walls need plastering. Feels so good to get started though.
We are in, surrounded by boxes and mess but very happy. And our first dusting of snow ❄️
Another favourite corner of the house was our kitchen sink. The faffing was real and it bought me joy. I loved how different it looked so quickly. And turns out I spent A LOT of time by it so the time felt very well spent 💞
We bought this little ikea tulip table second hand to test out how a table would feel in the space and we didn't turn back. We ended up eating most of our meals in here. I loved having a round table and an oval tulip table is now firmly on the long term wishlist 💞
